hey i just had a question for everyone .... i have a ocellaris clownfish in my tank with a sebae anemone theyve been together for about 2 months now and there is no interaction between them both ... in fact theres more interaction with my yellow tang and my anemone ( oddly enough ) then the clown ... is there anything i can do ?

If you can catch catch the clown and force him the touch the anemone... It's like a drug you can say, once you try, you want to try so more...

I would catch him in a net and bring him over the anemone and make sure he touch the anemone tenticles... As soon as he touches it he may swim off but he will come back to it... :D

Good Luck!

IMO, trying to force a clown to go into an anemone is the worst thing to do. :thumbdown You run the risk of anemone killing it, obviously...Clowns need to build up immunity to anemone's venom, so forcing the issue is just plain wrong. It's always a crapshoot if clowns adopt their anemone or not...Sebae anemone isn't a natural host for ocellaris clowns, so it may take longer, or never happen at all. Or, you may have better luck with an LTA, if you have room for it. It took my b/w occi pair 6 mos. to figure out what that sebea in the corner was for...LOL! Over the years I've had it take anywhere from 5 min. to 6 mos. for clowns to 'find' their anemone. & sometimes they never do. Just be patient & let nature take it's course; but please don't push clown into the anemone....Good luck!
