anemone eats a shell?

Ok so I fed my fish oyster on the half shell. Well the fish picked it up and dropped it right into my BTA. What will happen to the anemone? Will it spit it back out? It closed up do I couldn't get it out

Either that oyster was tiny, or you have a gargantuan bta ;)

I've never had a bta eat a snail or a hermit crab, but my Haddoni ate at least a dozen. They will just spit out the shell, what can't be digested will most likely go out the same way it went in.

+1. My gig ate plenty of snails. When the nem can sense food it will instinctively close around the shell. Once there isn't anything to consume, it will either spit out the shell, or if it didn't ingest it, it will simply let go. I had to keep replenishing my CUC because they would wander into my gig, and had to periodically remove empty shells.
