I had bad luck with a Rose Tip awhile back but I'm back for more. Is there a specific Anemone that the Blk/White clowns prefer?

Tagging along. I have had a LTA in my tank for around 6 months and my black and white still prefershis hairy shroom.

what species of b/w clowns?

Here is my black and white ocellaris, it has been hosting for only a few days. Lights are not on yet so I used flash. He is now sleeping in the rose.

If they are Ocellaris clowns, they will usually accept a BTA as a surrogate host in captivity. If they are Percula clowns, they will usually reject a BTA as a surrogate host in captivity. For Percula clowns, a better choice would be a Sebae (Heteractis crispa) anemone, as it is a natural host to that species. All three of the natural hosts for Ocellaris clowns would get too large for your tank, which is why most people go with a BTA as a surrogate in captivity.

:D

While I no longer have them, my B&W Os were hosting by an LTA, think it took them about a month to find it.
