He was in the back of the tank and I read somewhere that pointing a power head at it will make him move forward is this harmful to it or will it just move.

As long as the flow is not so strong that it injures the anemone you will be fine to try to flush it out. It looks like H. malu from that picture.

What are some details of the tank?

That is not a H. malu. To me, it looks like a C. gigantea (a non clown fish hosting Atlantic anemone)

OrionN - All the C. gigantea I have seen have longer and more pointed tenticles. They also have a darker, orange or reddish column.

Biggie - Can you just rotate the rock around? I can't see it in the pic, i guess because it is behind the rock, but is the power head blowing right on it. Maybe more direct flow will encourage it to move. Shading it from light will encourage it to move into the light. Basically you have to make it want to move to a better environment. Right now it is happy where it is at, it doesn't care if you can see it or not.

i changed around some of the power heads and its starting to move forward im thinking of shading it with one of my rocks ill see if it works. idk if the nem is hosting the clown but the clown is def hosting the nem lol hopefully its not fatal to him.

Coral Hind,
H. malu and H. crispa have highly visible spots on their column, which this anemone do not. They are also sandbed anemones.
