anemone id please

could you all please help me id this? i started off with two of them, and now have 17!!! the last picture with the clowns, was taken in a different tank with different lights, but is the same species. thanks. lawrence

A very nice bunch of BTA's (Entacmea quadricolor). Not sure why "mid-health, " that last pic looks like it could have been taken in the wild, other than the fact that perculas don't inhabit BTA's in the wild.

Thanks for the replys. Do you think they are all mid-health, or just the ones in the last pic? I transfered all but the ones in the last pic, over to another tank so I can sell them. They all but took over their old tank. They've been in their new tank for a couple weeks-i was worried about their foot getting damaged. I did lose one in the move though.

Anything I can do to bring them back to health, other than feeding them more?

reefman13, I'm going to sell them, but I've never shipped any livestock, and would like to try to get rid of them locally first. I'm sure shipping an anemone would be pretty difficult.

in the last pic its bleached apart from feeding more maintain good water quality, What lighting are they under?

They look healthy. There are BTA's in nature with that coloration. My comment that the last pic looks like it could have been taken in the wild (other than the mismatch of clownfish species and BTA) meant it looks perfectly healthy.

they are under 150W 14k aquaconn. what's strange is the ones in my main tank (those lights), are more bleached looking, but there are 3 or 4 that hide under the rock out of the light. i feed them silversides, but the clowns sometimes keep them from eating.

cool-good to know garyb, i was getting worried they weren't healthy. i've had clowns not host in them before. those clowns in that pic were hosting in the same type of anemone in the LFS, so we knew we were good with these two. they do seem to enjoy them

Actually, that should be plenty of light for BTA's. As I'm sure you know, it is important to change the bulbs at around 1 year for MH. What type of lighting are the ones that aren't in the "main tank" under? How far from the bulbs, what color temp are the bulbs?
