Anemone ID

What sort of anemone is this? I am assuming its not a host species. I called them when it was for sale (many many months ago) and they said it was a "deepwater anemone" that came as a hitchiker on LR. I just cant figure out what it would be...

They told me it was a mertens carpet when i asked. I had my suspicions its not

Do you know how big it is?

was told it was it was 10-12 inches across.

Also, they said it was a hitchhiker from some liverock, and also that it was a deepwater anemone.. Now I don't know much about where live rock is collected but deepwater doesnt sound right.

I saw it before it sold - it was huge and looked like a giant ricordia. I haven't ever seen a mertens first-hand, so I wouldn't know if that's what it was.

The store tried to sell me it as a mertens carpet anemone like a two years ago. Its not a mertens

Yeah, I think they had a pair of percs in it. It was in their big display tank up front.
