What are the actually water parameters -- numbers are needed, please.
How long has the tank been set up?
What lights do you have?
What size tank?
What all do you have in the tank?
Sometimes that is normal, and sometimes it is an indication of something wrong, hence the reason for the above questions.

Ammonia, Nitrates, Nitrites and Phosphates are all 0ppm; Salinity 1.025; Calcium 440ppm; Carbonate 9 drops (140-200 ppm); PH 8.22. We currently have LED lighting (Cad lights LED lighting system and Tru Lumen pro light strip), it equates to a little over 200 watts of lighting. That tank has been running for roughly a year. Tank size 50g

2 Ocellaris clowns
2 Pink Damsels
20 Snails
5 Hermit Crabs
Emerald Crab
Frogspawn coral
Toadstool
Various mushrooms and polyps
Bubble tip anemone
Long tentacle anemone
