Anemone not attaching

I just got a nice size carpet anemone, about 6-8" in diameter. My clownfish took to it right away but it is not attaching. I have had my (2) vortech powerheads off for almost a week to give it time to attach to something but no luck. It is very sticky and its mouth looks good so it appears very healthy so I don't think that is the issue. It is not deflated or anything to indicate it is unhappy. Any advice?

Below is a link. Its under my rock so the lighting is not the best. I don't know what kind. I have only had bubble tips in the past.

it looks like a haddoni with good tentacle extension... they like to attach to the bottom glass, ime. i've never had a haddoni go a week without attaching. i would clear out a small patch of sand down to the glass, in a semi shaded spot. maybe on the edge of some rock work... put it there, and see of it will attach to the glass.... using that method, mine have always attached in an hour or so. if yours doesn't, you might have other issues... maybe it's adjusting to the light, and hence the reason it's in a shaded spot? that's why i suggested a semi-shaded spot...

I put him under the rock because that is where I wanted him to find a home. He has moved to the back of the rock in the light so I cleared a spot on the glass at that area and it looks like he is starting to attach.

I don't think his foot is damaged because he let go of the rock from the store by the time I got him to the office.

I hope when I turn on the MP40's he will move while staying attached. I will have to un-program my MP40's and slowly ramp them up over time so he can adjust or make slight movements.
