anemone not attaching

I have a seemingly healthy long tentacle anemone that I have had for 4 days now that will not attach to any rocks for more than a few hours. He has eaten silversides, doesn’t seem to be shrinking in size or color and otherwise seems very happy but I am having to create a low flow area so that he will not get blown away in and risk a death in the pump.

Am I just getting worried too soon or is there some action I should be taking?

LTAs prefer their foot to be in the sandbed, not on the rocks. Can try digging a hole in the sandbed and placing it there.

I have a 4" dsb and 4-5 times tried sticking him in a little hole that i had dug but a few hours later i come back and he has begun drifting around the tank again. very frusturating. But thanks for the suggestion. I will stop trieng to stick him on rocks

Mine seems a little fussy for light/flow, so I made her a little cave, so she can pull in or out as she wants, and rocks block flow enough for her to attach in sand bed.

I'm having the same problem. I finally had to turn the intake a little and put the lta in the corner and he seems happy. I just thought they liked flow. But there is hardly any where he is at now.
