Anemone on it's way out?

To elaborate, other online vendors prefer to ship with a lot of extra water, say 4x as much as normal, to account for waste. But I've seen many, many wholesalers ship their nems dry, and it was once common practice to do so.

This

I do not want to give the company bad press as I've had nothing but great experiences from them. Anemones are sometimes shipped dry and there are different schools of thought on this. This was my first occasion and while it did not turn out well, it also could be more on the shipping company as I dont know what happened with the package until it was at my door.

It's unfortunate the little guy did not make it, but I'm hoping for some form of credit as there are few reasons an anemone should die this quickly in a thriving system. If I do receive it, I'll save it for a fish or something, no more mail order anemones :)

Anemones are poor shippers with or without water
the vendors should not be responsible for shipped anemones (this is a customer risk and should be brought to there attention} there are many hobby people and stores also vendors that are close enough for you to purchase from to see and purchase from

Mine was shipped without water also. looked pretty much the same as yours in the beginning. I just put it in my tnk and left it alone. was bleached for a while but eventually colored up. That was almost a year ago. very nice looking now.
