I just recently put a carpet anemone into my tank. it opened up right away and looked great. it has been in the tank for less than a week and my clowns have already begun to host it. all levels are fine and what not, the tank has been up and running properly for over 2 years. now the question I have is since the clowns have started hosting the size fluctuates. one hour it will be huge and full open and then I'll go to look an hour later and it's shrunken it never looked shriveled just smaller. any ideas? could the clowns be ****ing it off??

This is typical. The nem is just getting used to the clowns presence. This will pass and the nem will stay large all the time. FWIW clowns do not host anemones, anemones host clowns.
