anemone reef video, gigantea and magnifica w/clown colony

Forgive the vid quality, taken with my Iphone. Finally got it the way I envisioned it. Hope to add a small red based magnifica soon. The magnifica is a 2.5 year captive, gigantea is a 3 year captive. They are cohabitating well. They have been touching for months with no apparent problems. Its fun to watch the clowns move back and forth from nem to nem. They prefer to sleep in the gigantea though.

Thank you guys. There is quite a bit of random flow in the tank which I think the nems enjoy. I'm going to order the foam guards for the vortechs asap.

Thank you. At their fullest, they are both over 12" in diameter. I think the mag gets close to 15". I'll need to move out the pink sinularia soon if it keeps growing.

Sonofgaladriel, I really like the size of your setup! Can you provide more details on the dimensions?

makes me miss my mag, i lost it and about 5 fish due to it getting into my koralia 1400. Decided to go on a walk and got too close.

Nice! Vortechs really are the best powerheads.

I like your damsels, too. Damsels take a lot of abuse in this hobby, and I know a lot of people think of damsels as junk fish, but we had a bunch of them when my family started keeping saltwater tanks back in the '70s, so I have a soft spot for them. :)

Thank you. I'm a sucker for damsels/chromis, especially the blues. Just love that coloration and you can't beat the price!
My desire was to recreate a mini mini anemone/SPS reef atol. If you watch any documentaries on those types of reefs, you see tons of damsels, clowns, and anthias, so, what better to help me create that affect.
The clowns obviously stick close to, or within the nems, the damsels/chromis often migrate within the SPS, and the anthia swims about the water column just above it all. It really does mimic what truly happens out on the reef. Even the domino damsel hosts the nems from time to time.
I wish I could truly capture the sense of scale in this little tank, but the video just doesn't do it justice.

Sorry for the video quality, colors are off and its way too jerky. It looks much better on my computer before downloading it to photobucket. Maybe I'll try youtube.
