Anemone releasing self

What type of lighting do you have? What type of anemone also? Its either lighting or flow... You can try to feed it also.
Flow seems moderate, everything else is happy. I am using T5HO's from aquatic life 4 x 20in, 2 blue , 2 10k white, hanging about 6 in from the water surface. What do you recommend feeding it?
Tank is about 2 months old. It is a 10 gallon with probably 2 - 3 gallon's in the filters + 10 in the tank. Current params are as of about 4 am:
PH: 8.4
nitrite: 0
nitrite: 0
Ammonia: started at zero (Spiked to .50 around fish death)
KH: 10
Temp: 78 - 79
Calcium: 560 - 580 ppm
phosphate: Less than .25 higher than 0
Magnesium: 1220
I have tanken the following steps to fix the ammonia, water change, a dose of stability to help boost the bacteria and added in an ammonia removing sponge into the aqua clear filter. I also took the water to the LFS and they said everything looked great just a little bit of ammonia and nitrite which is expected in the process of removing the ammonia. I hope that the anemone got mad because of the lack of night time lighting (2 x nocturnal blue leds) and the ammonia spike. He seems to be well planted where he is now, just closed up color still looks good.

The color should actually be darker but its doing alright it seems. In a 10g that new you don't have nearly enough biological filtration for an anemone. So yes, the dead fish probably almost did it in. You will have to be very careful with that tank, as it is much too small for most anemones in the first place. Good luck with it.
Yea the LFS did not tell me that, other wise I would not have gotten it. However since I have, I am obligated to do my absolute best to keep him happy. I do over filter a lot in this tank so that should help maintain the water quality. However that picture was last night before the spike now, it is a darker green and partially closed. but in general still seems ok.

The color will appear darker when they are retracted. So the color will lighten again when it is fully expanded. If you find an opportunity to add more rock I would reccommend it, as that is where the bacteria colonize. And obviously adding a sump would be beneficial because it would add more water volume as well as room for more rock.
Not sure how much additional rock I can manage I have the aqua clear doing double duty as a fuge as well. I placed some more ruble in there. Things appear to be going back in the right direction, time will tell. As a friend of mine said nothing good happens quick in a salt water tank. The original plan was to start this get things going well, then get a 30 - 40 gal cube and move this to my sump. Looks like that plan may be getting accelerated. Thanks for all the advice. Still :sad1: that I lost the clown, poor little guy. The larger female seems to be doing good though.
