I hear that if they have been fed well and have developed a good store of energy, they can survive even catastrophic splits. Good diet is supposed to be key if you cut your nems regularly and I would guess the same is true in this case. Might explain why yours is making it and others haven't had the same luck.
Hi guys. New to reef central but always use your advice when go ogling. Anyway to get to it. I recently upgraded my tank from a 45min cube to a 120g. I had a great red anemone and he was close to a softball size.
I moved him to the new tank and he was okay for a few days. Then one day he moved. I didn't know he was attached to two rocks and when I picked up the rock with him I thought I had two. I am passed as this was a beautiful anemone but worry about him.both of them have mouths and feet. Both are attached to rock in the tank but have severely retracted. They both still have on our but barely any tentacle movement. I am worried for them to pollute my tank if they die but unsure when to call it quite sure or keep them going? Here's a pic of the anemones. Please help!
