I have an long tenticaled anemone that i think split but there are three parts. There is there is a whole one and the other two seem to be halfs. They seem split down were the mouth is. Will these other two servive or what happened, bad split?
I would include a picture of one of the two that were broken down the middle but cant figure out how to post a pict. Can it regrow the mouth or should i take the two halfs out?

Hmm...can you get a pic of the main one? From the pic it looks like a BTA (which can also have "long tentacles."

I think they will be fine. Nice to see them divide in three instead of just two though! :)

could there be something with my water? In the store the tenticals were really long and in my tank that are a little shorter and squatier also i have a really big clown fish could it be so big that rubing against the anemone is keeping it small?

Sometimes anemones will split if under stress. How long have you had it, what are all of your water parameters, lighting, type of clownfish(is it the one in the pic?) and have you fed it?

Looks like BTA E. quadricolor to me as well. Either way, it is very bleached. As soon as they have mouths you need to start feeding them.

i just got back from an internship and a friend was watching after them. MISTAKE. anyway this one anenome has always been a white one. But something did scare my other two anemomes while i was gone they are BLT and they are white now. late me put up a couple of picts.

This is the best pict i can get of the mother colony because it had moved to back.

Below is a picture of my other two these are not the ones that split off. These are supposed to be BTA when i came back from my internship this they had become this white. they used to be a green.

You need to feed them. Even the mother colony looks somewhat bleached. What do you have for lighting and what are your water parameters?

i know the last picture is of my two bta's but the other is supposed to be LTA i think. how do i get the BTA's to get there color back

Depending on what type of there lighting they are under, what flow they are receiving and how well the water quality is, they can regain their color back in a month or two if fed often.

The key is to keep up with your weekly water changes, have good flow and strong lighting for your BTAs. When they are severely bleached like yours are, feed them every day in small portions. This is a critical stage for them. They are in need of energy and the only way to get that energy is feeding them at this point. Feed as close to the mouth as possible since it requires energy for them to grab it with their tentacles and move it to their mouth. After a week, start feeding everyother day.

Some BTAs never do regain their color back though.

Good luck.

If the anemone's foot is buried in the sand then it most likely is a LTA. If it's in the rockwork then it's most likely a BTA but either way: WHAT ARE YOUR WATER PARAMETERS AND WHAT IS YOUR SETUP LIKE?

We can't help you if you don't answer some of these questions...

Agreed.

The thing is i am not worried about the color i had someone elce watching the fish for about 2 mounth when things started going bad. Now that i moved back i am nersing them and they regaining some color. All i am really worried about is the one that split.
