Anemone split question

HI my Anemone just split like 2 days ago what i wanted to ask is half of the Anemone from the split comes out for the light but the other half is staying hidden in the rocks is this normal. Should i move the rock out of the way so he can get some light or just leave it. Also will my Anemones become full circles again what i mean by that is right now i just have like 2 half circles so after Anemones split do they become full again thx

Yes they will join back together to form full circles. Dont move the rock, give the anemone some time. It will move when it's rewady.

They will split sometimes due to stress. Keep an eye on em.

i agree, it takes time to fully heal from a split. be patient, leave them alone and keep an eye out.

After a split, an anemone will heal, using only photosynthetic algae to heal and energy sustained within. Sometimes a half will die. You can't feed the darn thing so leave it be and see what happens. Dont medicate, dont change carbon, if you see it start to melt, its gone.

My Bta is in the process of spliting, how long does it take for it to be completely split? and he is not eating, is that normal??

it can happen over a few hours but i have watched one of mine take over a day. they won't eat during or after a split, you just have to watch and once their mouth is fully healed ( about a week ), start feeding again.

the nem should pretty much bring itself around on itself almost immediately after the split, at the very least with in a couple hours...and should "look" relatively round right away...especially if it has found a place to settle..if it is still moving then it may take a while for it to come around on itself..

mine did the whole process in a matter of hours..moved, split while doing so, then located and circle around...it was about a week for the cut to heal itself...and about 3 months for it to look normal and fully round again..(the tentacles along the cut where smaller at the get go)

as mentioned leave it alone and dont try to feed it for at least a week to 10 days...
