I have a 40g breeder that is well established (3+ years), and have kept bubble tips and condis successfully in the past. I had a few mean maroons that I ended up selling/giving to friends and their anemones always were sent with them. I had a condi that never moved once, and seemed to love my tank for the year or so I had it as it got huge!
Should I just go with a bubble tip again, or is there something else I should try? I don't really want a nem on the rocks since my rocks are pretty much totally covered in coral, I would prefer something that would bury it's foot in the sand.
I now have a pair of Oscillaris, that have been with me for almost a year now with no anemone.
Oh, and I have a 150w halide with dual actinic PCs lighting the tank, sump with skimmer, rock solid stability, etc...
Any suggestions?
A pic of my old maroon and condi. The Maroon was about 5" so you get an idea of how big the condi was. The condi started out tiny, and grew like crazy. It also never moved contrary to what the fish store told me when I bought it. This maroon would draw blood every time I put my hand in the tank so she got a new home
