Anemone upside down

I have had this anemone for 3 weeks. I had it cradled by rock on 3 sides to keep it in place.

Then it moved and actually attached to rock and ate

Went away last weekend only to come back with the anemone in the back corner on it's side.

I have good light coverage so I wasn't worried. After a few days on it's side, I moved it back to it's first location and now it's upside down. Tentacles/mouth in the sand, foot straight up. I can't get a picture because of the angle. The owner of the lfs where I bought it said just to leave it until it finds a happy spot. Should I flip him? When do I give up and take it back? Foot looks good. Mouth not gaping. Still has good color. I also have 4 GBTA's that are perfectly happy and stationary.

What lights do you have? And did you acclimate it to your lights?

LTAs prefer to have their foot buried in the sandbed, could try digging a hole for it and placing it there. Might also help to reduce your flow until it is settled in.

BTW -- I wouldn't say that it has good color. It is on the bleached side, I have seen worse, but it is still bleached.

I have ATI power modules 8x80watts. I've tried digging a hole in the sand but the sand caves in. I'll try again though. I'm afraid to change the flow in my tank for fear of setting the BTA's on the move. How do you help an anemone that is bleaching?

What size tank? That might be a lot of light --- at least short term. If you hadn't acclimated it to your lights that could be causing the issue. I have always used layers of window screening when acclimating a new anemone to my lights. I use 3 layers and remove a layer each 5-7 days.

First need to find out why it is bleaching. Could be too much light, or not enough. Poor water conditions, temps too high/too low. Need to correct the issue(s) causing it. Then will have to supplement its feeding. I personally like krill, but make sure to use small pieces.

Tank is 150g. Ca 430, Kh 9.6, pH8.3 nitrates 0, tem 78.8-79.9
I buried the foot up to it's neck

Yesterday, that BTA moved off it's rock and right next to the LTA. What happens to 2 anemones when they are too close together and of a different species?
