Anemone without sand??

Im thinking about going with a bare bottom tank for my new reef tank. I would really like to have anemone in the tank but not sure if its possible to keep an anemone without sand. Can it be done???

Lot of anemones are not sand dwellers

I have my bubble tips in a bare bottom tank. They are also some of the most colorful and easiest hosting anemones to keep.

Maxi Mini Carpets, Rock/Flower anemones, BTAs, Magnificas, Giganteas, Mertensii, and some H. Crispa are very happy without sand, to name a few.
