Anemone won't move!

Hi,
My anemone attached himself in an area that I really don't want him to be in. I tried making him an area that's suitable for him in front of the tank -- moderate, indirect water flow with plenty of exposure to light. He didn't like it there, and he moved to an area with very low water flow. I was told that if I blow a powerhead at his foot he would attach and leave. Well, I did that, and he is still attached. He really loves that spot.

Question is... how can I get him to move?

Bubble tip anemone btw

I'd leave the animal alone, myself, if it was new. You might be able to get it to move later if you keep cranking up the flow. The animal might want less light than the spot you set up for it, for example.

Good point, bertoni. He's kind of avoiding light right now since he attached himself halfway under a rock.

I'm just going to leave him alone for now.

If you attempt to move his foot, you could rupture cells and that would be fatal for him. Just let him be. If you eventually get a clown, it may move him. You could try just changing the direction of current flow in the tank, which might influence his choice of sitting-spots---but I'd wait a bit for that. More than likely it's tucked in to recuperate from changes and will gradually creep into a more favorable position. The joys of anemones---unlike potted ferns, they just about never settle where you put them.

Don't even worry about where he is for at least a month or two. It's going to wander the tank once comfortable anyway to find the sweet spot -- which may or may not be where you want it.
