This is a green carpet anamone, right? I got this guy about a month ago. So far it is doing well. Anybody have any pointers or suggestons to make sure it stays happy and healthy?

Looking pretty good, and fairly sure that it is a Haddoni.

I would try giving it a bit more food for a bit. While Haddonis have short tentacles, this one appears to be a bit shorter.

And is the mouth always open like it is in the last picture?

The mouth was open like that initially but now it seems closed.

Do these things like to sit in the sandbed? I put mine high on the rocks so it would get a lot of light but it has made its way down to the bottom of the tank. I'm a bit worried about that because it is not getting as much light down there as it was higher in the tank.

How much light do you have?

Yes, they do prefer the sandbed, most of the time right at the rock/sand interface.

I am guessing that you have a mix of daylight and actinic bulbs?

I kept a Haddoni in my 75 ( think it is about 18 inches deep ) with 390 watts of PC (( 50/50 mix of bulbs )) for a couple of years. It did okay, but is doing a lot better under MH. Your might do okay, but wonder if it will lose some of its color. The depth of your tank is my main concern (( and the mix of bulbs )), may want to start thinking of upgrading.

Also, for a shorter period of time I had my blue one in that tank (( before I upgraded lights )), once I upgraded it became a very nice deep blue --- as opposed to lighter blue -- really prefer the looks of it now.
