Anemones and Bristol worms

So I have a BTA and have been trying to nurse it back to health. It was bleached out and sickly. It has been doing much better then it started to move and started not looking so good again. I noticed that there is a ton of Bristol worms on that rock do you think that they are hurting the BTA? Also I have just added a Maroon clown fish and he is hosting in the BTA Yeah!! However I have been target feeding the BTA with Silverside and Selcon can I continue to feed my BTA this way with the clown or what should I do? Help!!

Probably there is an excess of food near that rock, which is why the worms are there, functioning as vacuum cleaners and being sure you don't have nitrate.
In my experience, your clown will bring food there and feed the nem. Feed the clown and the nem will get fed.

Relying on a clown to bring an unhealthy anemone back to life is a losing plan.
target feeding is very important when nursing an anemone .

You should probably keep the clown away from the BTA untill its healthy again. Maroons are known to kill their anemones if the anemone is too small or unhealthy.

IMO...

Bristleworms eat decaying matter.
The clown will probably make the nem worst since it will be bothering it while hosting and in some cases steal food from the nem.
I would isolate the nem and bring it back to health before allowing the clown to come near it.

I would distract the clown with food and just give the nem a little piece of a silverside - like a head only. BTAs can have trouble with big chunks of food IMPE, even a small silverside can cause problems. I mostly just feed pieces of silverside or a medium sized krill to mine. If the bristleworms are attacking your anemone it might be because there's already a bunch of dead tissue.

Well the bristol worms are not attacking the bta it's just I have so many in my tank I thought maybe they were irritating the bta, but maybe not. Ok so I have been distracting the clown as best as I can and feeding the bta silversides so I guess we shall see. This bta definately has a mind of it's own. Doesn't seem real fond of light, almost like he would like to dewell in a cave? Thanks for all your imput.
