Anemones and LEDs?

meow?

Hi,

I'm pondering the idea of LEDs for the lighting of a new build 20x18x20 which will house only an anemone and a pair of clowns. I was thinking maybe a Kessil A350 or A350w (I need alot of food for thought here wide lens vs standard) But more to the question do LEDs provide enough light? (example) If I put a Ritteri on the bottom of the tank would it stay there given if the water flow was adequate and with this lighting?

I don't have alot of experience with LEDs But I thought it best to ask before plucking $400 for a light that may or may not do the job.

thanks

I only have 2 radions over my 90.. I have a very large sebea and 5 rock flower anemonies. No problem with leds on them.

I have no personal experience with nems and LEDs but there are plenty of examples here of success. I am upgrading to a 120 with 2 x A360Ws and the tank will be dedicated to a carpet.

I think chances are the mag will climb to the top but I may be wrong.

I don't think you want to go with the narrows on a 20" tank.

12g pod w/DIY LED, no optics, 4 BTA. They love the LED.

can't help with fixture, may do better in the lighting forum

Good feed back keep it coming

Not knocking it here but it's a 27 cube 20x18x20. The climbing is what I want to prevent. As far as keeping a mag. I'm not even there yet. Just tryin to gauge LEDs for what I choose to keep.

I am using LEDs with about 10 different species of anemone, and they are all doing well. The only trouble I am having is with my first LTA which is about 2 weeks old, but I don't think its the lights that are the problem.

Magnificas like to be as high as they can get, so if their tentacles touch a taller surface, like the glass, they will likely climb it. If it can't reach the glass you should be fine with it on top of a flat rock.
