Anemones and pH swings

Just curious to know what others think about anemone health and pH swings. I'm planning to purchase one of the harder to keep anemones in the near future (gigantea or magnifica -- I don't think I'll ever locate a a mertensii) and want to make sure my parameters are in check.

During the course of the day, my pH swings from approximately 8.13 in the morning to 8.3 at lights out (refugium is run on reverse cycle). I've read that for most reef tanks this should be fine, but my concern is the affect it will have on the anemone.

Thoughts?

My magnificas I've had going on 10 years now, and I don't think you will have any problems whatsoever with the ph fluctuations you describe.

That's a tighter than most PH swing you have. It shouldn't be any problem for anemone. Mine range from 8.0-8.2.

Anemones need stable conditions. A fluctuation like you describe is considered stable. Dropping from 8.3 to 7.8 overnight might not be.
