Anemones Id ???

2 weeks ago i found an anemone in my new live rocks but i don't know witch one.
Can you identified it ?

I thought of a little Entacmaea quadricolor green but i 'm really not sure ????

Yes, it's majano. I just couldn't think of that name before.

looks like a majano to me too. How big is it?

1.5 -2 inches in diameter
it's the only one in the aquarium

Kill that thing, they took over my tank, had to break it down! Majano for sure!

I Killed her yesterday night
but i could get off my rock so i've to do it inside my tank
i inject 2 mL of white vinegar inside her body
she's dead now
Then i pull out this staff with a gripper
is it possible that before she die she eject some spores ??

is there a fish or shrimp who likes to eat majanos ?

I think there is a filefish that does can't think of the name.

Yes they do give off spores and that is what happened to me!

I think i find the name of the fish : Acreichthys tomentosus
is an aiptasia killer but does he it majano ???

Please do not spread that misinformation to anyone else.


Some butterflys might eat them but not always. You are best to kill them as you see them.
