Anemones in bad shape during fallow

Hello folks,

I am towards the end of fallow and my nems are not looking healthy at all. They were fantastic up until a couple of weeks ago where rock nems started to show smaller and smaller (they were huge) and all (including the rbta) started to show their bubbly mouth.
Water params have been in check during fallow.
Only thing I can think of is less food. Since I am not feeding the tank regularly. Light are on normal schedule tho. They are not expelling their zoo$#%%^.
Any idea if I still have a shot at getting them back on track or if I should pull their rocks?

Will do! I am feeding them krill but not do sure they are in shape to process bug pieces.

I have not fed my BTAs for 2 years and it looks great today.

Perhaps not, but the OP is currently running fallow so there are no fish to provide tidbits to his anemones. And FWIW, they will generally benefit from at least weekly feedings of small meaty foods.

Lighting is their main source of energy, and yes many of us do not bother w/ spot feeding, but that does not mean they do not pick up bits of food and even fish waste is filtered benefiting them.

While a healthy nem may not require spot feeding at all, weak stressed or nems w/ poor health may not be able to process light into energy as well, so in a case like this, nems showing a decline of some kind, it would be my go to, and it certainly can't hurt.

Squirt some mysis, observe reaction
