I just got a bubble tip anemone and this is my first one I waited fairly long to buy one to make sure my tank is fine and I just have some questions does it need constant light even at night because I have it set on a timer and it eventually shuts off is this okay?
This is fine, they react to it the same as night time in the ocean. Ideally you will let them have at least 12 hours of light per day, IMO.
And another thing is it supposed to close up at night is that normal?
Many of them do this, if not all of them. They open during the day to gather light for photosynthesis. At night it is not necessary so they tend to close up.
And how long do I wait to feed it?
Feeding is not necessary, but it can help. Wait at least a week or two, never feed if it has moved recently, and never feed more frequently than every other day or it could get sick. The food should not be larger than the size of the mouth, very small pieces.
