I was just wondering why my anenome would do this throughout the day. Onminute it srinks and looks sink, the next minute it plumps up and lok as if nothing happend.
FACTS:
I have a t5 setup: 2 x blue, reef, coral.
The anenome is sitting about 8" from the top of the tank.
A pair of marons if hosting it.
Parameters are ideal.

They expel water from time to time. Most of there innards are made up of your aquarium water. If this is a frequent act, something may be irritating it.

It may also depend what time of day also-- I had an anemone who would frequently do the same thing. Different times during the day he would either be all closed up or he would blow up. Didn't have great luck keeping them-- did you recently get yours or have you had him for a while now?

Mine do that every day, after a out 8-9 hours of he lights turning on, they're pooping. But careful with that clown, looks too big for that nem, which may be the problem.
Also, how long have you had the nem?

Yes, Maroons can be really hard on nems. Is there a way to keep the fish out of the nem for a day or two, to see if there is any change in your nems behavior?
