ok i bought a good sized anenome from a guy. When he pulled it from the rock his foot came off like a slingshot. Will the anenome live and grow another foot. Also at this time hen split and the guy kinda help him split. He told me not to worry about it and that he would be fine. So far in my tank the now 2 anenomes seem ok. One went behind some rocks and hid.

Thanks

Well...if the foot really ripped off of the anemone, I would be real worried...a lot of times damage to the foot can be fatal.

Yeah, not good.
Maybe if the guy was smart he knew and split it for that reason.
You may get lucky and have one survive, and it's even poss both will.
Never say die, but keep a watchful eye!
Don't let one melt and ruin tank.

Get the one out from behind the rocks. If it dies back there you could have problems getting it out. It also may not be getting enough light back there. What type of anemone is it?
I hate to say it but I don't think that the anemones foot is the only thing he ripped off. I beleive that soon he will have your money and you will have nothing to show for it. Very few anemones could survive this treatment.

Condy's are usually pretty tough, but still keep an eye on it. I wouldn't move the other half, as the more you mess with it the more stressed it will be, but make sure you know where it is and check on it constantly.

An anemone that dies and breaks apart in your tank can cause a killer spike in your parameters.

Best of luck, and keep us updated!
