Anenome in trouble

My baby carpet has his mouth inside out, I know this is a bad thing. He is under a 2x175 mh. What could cause this? Should I feed him or leave him alone?

I have had him for about a 2 weeks. I just shut off the mh and he has tucked his mouth back in. Could the lighting be too intense. If so would't he just move.

blue carpets sometimes come in pretty unhealthy from shipping and poor acclimation at suppliers, is it very floppy and not sticky, or does it hold its form very well and stick to everything? I've seen healthy carpets flip their mouths inside out when expelling wastes, but usually it's not a good sign

It was very sticky when I got it and I would rather not touch him now in case he is stressed. BTW this is a red carpet about 3" in diameter. He is not shrunken( although he has about 2 days ago) down and seems good except for the mouth. He is in a spot in the tank right inder 1 175 with low to medium flow at best.

is it eating? does it hold form well and hold a uniform shape, or is it floppy and constantly undulating?

Feed him twice a week or so. More if you want him to grow faster. Don't try to feed unless he is fairly well inflated and his stomach is not inside out.
