Anenome is dead. (I think)

I started a thread awhile ago about a BTA. It was starving to death. There were almost no tentacles left on it. I did not feed it cause I was told my clown would feed it. Anyway, I fed it everyday for awhile. It started to get the tentacles back and looked great. After a few weeks, one day the food would not stick to its tentacles. The food just rolled off. Someone told me to dose the tank with DT's Phytoplankton to feed it. I did this for 2 weeks. Somedays it would look as if it were getting better. Now its shriveled up really small. I can't even get to it its so small. I cant feed it or hardly see it. What should I do?

All levels are good.....

Maybe you fed it too much. I make sure that once a week I hand feed the anenome in case the clown is not doing a good job at feeding it. So far, it's been thriving for years.

If food won't stick it it and it is really small, it is probably dying. Give it one more day without food and monitor the situation. If it worsens, you may want to pull it out so that it doesn't pollute the tank when it dies and falls part.

Params would help. Nems react to alkalinity, ph, light, etc, plus salinity, temperature.

My parameters are great. The tank has been running for 2 years. I can't get a pic cause its so far in the rock. I am just going to pull it out. How do I get it off my rock?

When my gbta in my avatar died. We didn't carefully take it off..when it is dead, it is slime and is a snot ball. So my husband scraped it off the rock as best as he could. It also smelled really bad. Now for the rock it was on..we washed with salt water and let it lay in a bucket of salt water and scrubbed it for a week before we put the rock in our 24gal...Touch it..if it is slimy then it is on its way out..take it out and smell it. If it is sticky..I would wait it is probably changing its water.

It has been sucked in for 2 weeks. The clown still rubs it very aggressively.

Well I would crate the clown from being able to rub against it myself.

I took out the rock after cutting through a colony of green palys. The BTA was real easy to peal off. It came off like a vinyl sticker. Hes in a better place now.

I no longer have it. I would love to keep a RBTA. I dont know if I will or not. Now that I know you have to feed them.
