The dimtec is a good light, not as much PAR as a ATI, but aesthetically pleasing which this build is about. bulbs, i have 1 purple, 1 actintic, 3 whites, 3 blues. I would like to replace 1 white with a blue but CBF TBH, will do that when i change them out.

this tank is giving me lots of greif, STN, alk swings, fish diseases (flukes, velvet, brook), i have never had so many issues, the tank looks crap lost so much live stock, travelling for work during critical times does not help at all.

THis week my ATO died also whilst travelling cant seem to catch a break with this tank.

Hang in there, I do not know of a long term reefer who has not had their share of ups and downs. Your reefs, builds, and setups have had me inspired for years now, you have the touch, it has been proven by many gorgeous tanks you have cared for. That all being said, I have found that during times of difficulty, that if I simplify and go back to the basics, it usually provides a good baseline for future additions, supplements, tweaking the system, etc... To me, I find my confidence level of the tank and my husbandry increases, which in turn is usually represented by the health of the reef. You will get back in short order, I am confident of that

I'm really bummed to hear things are going bad Ryan I've been through some heart breaking crashes over the years and i know how flat and cruddy it makes the hobby feel when it's happening matey.
As the other guys have said, i hope you hang in there buddy as i know how good you are with SPS

I have a few acro which look quite good, nothing special just staghorn, will take some beautiful iphone photos and upload.

realised i still havent been bothered to get photos from the underwater camera cook islands trip. i wont lie and say too busy as i spend lots of time on the couch, but more so too lazy too walk 20 steps to get the camera :fun5:

No Idea Perry, it is a wild colony ive had for a few months.

Colours are improving since I've taken off the bio pellets which turned to mush, not sure what p and n are should test
