Angelfish Tank

I'm new to this hoppy and was wondering if it is possible to do an angelfish tank? I'm thinking of putting a Emperor, Blueface, Magestic, Queen, Passer, Six-Bar, and Regal in a 400 Gallon Tank. I see a couple clips on youtube where people do it but I read a lot in books and on the web that Angles can get aggresive with each other.

Honestly, I think that's too many angels, even in a large tank. Angels, especially if closely related or looking similar WILL get aggressive with each other. Most angelfish also are not beginner fish. There are some very experienced hobbyists with long term large angel tanks, and I believe they will advise against it as well.

As a beginner in the saltwater hobby, if I were you, I'd take it a little slower. If you definitely want several angels, I'd pick no more than three, and forget about the queen (aggression), passer (agression) and regal (difficulty). I have an emperor, and really like this angel a lot. Good specimens adapated to aquarium conditions are quite hardy.

I'd also be sure your tank was very well established and mature before adding any angels.

If you do put one together try getting smaller specimens so they're less aggressive and grows together.

Here's my 180g but will need to upgrade next year.

Chris

Thanks. I've 6 FAs in the tank since last October.

I have a chrysurus angel, queen angel, blueface angel, goldflake and flagfin. they keep a purple tang, yellow tang, 3 flame angels, and a declivis butterfly company in a 240. all fat and healthy.

I would'nt go for the passer and regal in the same tank, the rest would be fine together. It is better to introduce them as juv, or small size
I have 6 large angels without any problem for years

Great looking flame
;)

would you recommend this to someone just starting out in saltwater? FishyKeeper929, the poster, said s/he was new to the hobby.
