Angry Favia?

So, my blue favia seems a bit upset. He is...oozing? Maybe oozing isnt the right word....but he has slimy type stringy stuff hanging off of him. He is far away from everyone. Is this his feeding tentacles or something or is this a normal stress reaction?? This is the one of three first hard coral Ive ever had so just not sure what to be expecting.

yes he is just a tad upset. id stick him in a cup and give it a shake to get the excess off. sticking em in the sand overnight will also cut down on the slime a bit

Will it affect the other corals?
He is already stuck in his spot pretty well so im gonna leave him be for a while.

Ended up putting quite a few coral in the sand as I didnt want to go crazy with super glue & no skimmer. Now noticing this is definitely going to have to be temporary as my Conch is trampling some mushrooms as we speak

Definitely pretty normal for freshly cut corals to slime up. If its in a spot where you don't want to move it you can always use a turkey baster or something of the like to blow it off the coral.

Ummm did my chalice move??? I could swear we put it a couple inches to the right and this AM its a couple inches to the left....?

Yeah, that was why I gave it its own rock. Its like a big palm of rock kinda and is up high on a piece of Tonga Branch away from any other coral....I have PCs so i kind of doubt there will be any bleaching....right? (Remember this is a Biocube with stock lighting.)

Should I also have the Favia in the sand? I just kind of shoved them into different parts of the rock.

Also noticed all of my original mushrooms are curled up so their mouths are covered. Is this a normal type of behavior? All 3 are doing it.
