Angry Sailfin

We purchased 2 sailfins. They were fine together for 3 weeks, but one suddenly started attacking the other. We removed the injured fish to QT.

Our tank is 200gal. Plenty of food/algea. The aggressive Sailfin is harder to catch, or we would quarantined it. My question is, will they ever get along? If we quarantine the aggressive fish, will it chill out or should it be removed?

I would not keep two of these fish together in the size tank that you have. I would return/find a new home for one of them.

Yep I agree,take one out.I have a sailing that on occasion will chase my yellow tang.

240 gallon is the minimum they recommend for a 1 Sailfin let alone 2. Those guys get very big very fast
