Reasonably large crocea - about 6 inches
I found a secure spot for it at the top of my tank to keep it out of the way of a Singapore angel - definitely worked, btw
Now it's:
1) 7-8 inches away vertically from a 14,000k 175 w metal halide bulb, almost directly under - runs about 10 hours /day
And:
2) 8-9 inches under the VHO's (440 w - 2 actinic and 2 50/50) - which run 3.5 hours/ day
Beside staying open now since the fish doesn't bothering it, I'm thinking this is more appropriate lighting?
And please don't laugh... but I also want to make sure it's not too much light
