Another H. Magnifica

I agree and have read all the same things, but the anemone looks 100 percent better at a lower point in the tank and hasn't moved. The only time it was deflating was when the MH came on. I had a 400w MH over it and switched to a 250w 10k to acclimate it. Had it at about the halfway point in the tank and it would get sensitive even with the 250. So, I made the decision to move it lower and it is doing great. In time Slakker I plan on moving back up in the tank and putting the 400 back. I also saw in the large reef tank forum there is a guy with a huge tank that is slicing up his mags and putting them back in his tank and now he has like 30 of them. He keeps them in his refugium under a 70w Hallide and they go from brown to color and from bleached to brown. He also notes that if you have a good system they will thrive. I agree 100percent.

I'm having the same issue with my little mag I purchased a few weeks ago. I placed it under a 400 watt halide and it never inflated. It has looked sickly for over a week.
I moved it down near the bottom of the tank, but still in indirect light, and it is starting to inflate and look better.
I'll keep it down low and let it move up if it wants to.

Updates!!!!
Well the mag moved up the tank on its own and is looking great. It has footed itself on the side of a shelf piece and looks really happy. Here are some pics.

Haven't fed it yet. It has been about 6 weeks and I wanted to wait until it looked better to feed it. I'm confident but just want to double check.

Also, has anyone had a mag foot itself like this? I have seen them that way in the wild so figured it was ok.

Can you find that thread I cant find it.

Alright, got another good ritteri from my supplier. I will have to say that there is something fishy going on. I have had one for about a month now and it was doing great until about an hour after i put the new one in. The new one is inflated and looks great and the old one looks deflated.

Lucky...Are these ritteris for your personal tank? If you ever want to sell one, please think of me. I would drive up to get it. :)
