I packed the tank up at about 330 in the afternoon before leaving Pensacola on Friday. We pulled into OKC around 8am on saturday and the fish/corals came out of their bags around 3-4pm. I bagged everything in breather bags and tossed them into a good ice chest. I saved about 15-20g of water from the tank and left about half an inch of water in the tank during the move. So far there are no losses, fish or coral.
Now I need to figure out exactly what to do with the tank. I'm thinking about pulling the rock structure, keeping it in the sump and just running it as a frag tank with a sand bed. We're crashing with my mom until we can find a house, so I don't plan to be here longer than a month or 2. I can't decide if it's worth setting up the rock and gluing the coral down for such a short time. The tank is only a 30g, so it wouldn't be THAT much work, but I can't decide. I do know I need a ballast to drive a single 250w Radium and possibly a good reflector as I'm changing mylighting scheme. I'll put up a separate thread for that in a bit though.
So, long story short, I'm back in town with the family, the birds and the fish tank and we're all good to go!
