Anthia food for auto feeder

Well, if you can get them onto flakes/pellets, that's the easiest. Then you just feed frozen yourself.

Like I said, that's why dry food in an autofeeder would be best. But, you need to get them to the point of eating dry food, which isn't always easy, and takes time. Perhaps, with your schedule, anthias aren't the best choice for your tank. Maybe you could describe your system, and people could have other suggestions.

I have seen lyretails go nuts over freeze dried krill in a feeder. NLS pellets would be great to ween them onto. What dried foods are they eating now?

I got my Bartletts to eat flake while in QT. Now they prefer that over anything frozen.

I haven't purchased any yet, doing some research, systems with anthias have always caught my eye. I bought a house 8 months ago and my previous tank didn't take the move so well, so after 2 months of struggling with it I decided to break it down. My new tank arrives July 17th from glasscages, it's 48x24x16 rimless. Will be a sps dominant reef so I have been looking at what fish I want and the anthias are at the top, if I can find something to put in my auto feeder that they will eat right away. The freeze dried krill sounds like a good idea, anyone else had any luck with it?

Make sure the anthias are eating pellets in the store.

Given your work schedule, it may be best to consider the hardier anthias that will take on dry food well such as Bartletts, Ignitus, Dispar, etc. This way you can use the auto feeder that will easily dispense pellets. There are quite a few species of anthias that are known finicky eaters, such as Evansi, Tuka, etc.

My bartletts eat flakes and pellets within hours of purchase so they really do seem to be a great choice.
