I bought a squareback anthia to go along with one I've had in my tank for awhile. I figured there would be some hostility and the one I've had was going after the new one so he just hid in the rocks. He's been hiding for a week and today he managed to get in the over flow. Should I leave him in there for a bit or get him out and bring him back?I don't know if these two can get along

If your display is large enough, I would try making a little howdy cage for the new Anthias... something secure so it doesn't get picked on but allows for it to see out and everyone else to see in. Give that a few weeks. If there is constant harassment/attack attempts, it's probably not meant to be.

Anthias are tricky. You have to get the right number and right sex.

if it stays in the overflow it will become a male, I know because I had 20 and one went into the overflow for months till I finally got him and he is a crazy colored male. Currently I have 3 males and 14 females lyretails, 5 bartletts and dont remember the other 4 anthias.
