Anthias

Can anyone rank the different species of Anthias from easy to difficult, in regards to care/feeding/maintenance, etc? Example:
1. Lyretails
2. Bartletts
3. Dispars
You get the idea...Please rank them based on what is readily available in the trade via LFS, online, etc...This will be interesting to see. Thanks.

1. Easy
2. Easy
3. Easy

The species you listed are all on the easy side if you start with healthy specimen. All 3 readily adapt to captive life, all 3 will eat just about anything you offer and all 3 will get along with each other if you can't narrow it down to one species.

I've read the three you listed are easy. We have lyretails and ignitus (similar to disbars) and they have been a joy to have in the tank.

IME lyretails and bartletts rebound after poor shipping more so than dispars.

I should have stated I was talking about LFS purchases. Sorry.

I dont think I would ever personally buy these 3 species online just because they are readily available at any LFS. Even if not in stock the LFS should easily be able to get them. Once they arrive pick the best looking.

Thanks for the replies guys...I have 4 lyretails (1 male, 3 females). Thinking about adding 5 dispars. Would I be able to add more than 1 species? I have a 240 gallon FOWLR.

Here are the ones I like...It would be cool to see a ranking between the following based on people's experiences: Lyretails, Dispars, Bartletts, Purple Queen, Evansi, Carberyi, Sunburst, Borbonius, Squareback, Ignitus, Resplendent, Tiger Queen, Ventralis, Hutchii. Which one of these I would be able to mix with my lyretails (Maldives species).
