Anthias

Good morning ,
I have a lone Lyretail, once female now male, and would like to introduce several Red Striped Anthias, one male and two or three females. What precautions should I be aware of when doing so?
Is this a bad Idea?
Thanks for any help.

Tony

Do you mean P. fasciatus? They get even bigger than lyretails. Other than proper QT of the new guys, I don't see an issue. Why not throw in a female of two for the lyretail at the same time? While both species get big, I think a 180 can handle 6 anthias total, depending on your curretn bioload, filtration, etc etc...

Yes, I do mean P. fasciatus. That sounds like a good common sense recommendation to also add a couple of female Lyretails in at the same time. Thanks for your help.
My current bioload is:
6" Naso
6" Foxface
1 Mandrian
4" Copperband
1 Flame Angel
1 Lyretail
5 Green Cromis
2 Cleaner shrimp
1 Coral bandit shrimp
200 lbs of live rock and misc corals
Tank has been running for about 2 1/2 yrs.
They all seem to get alone very well.
