Antibiotic Treatment with a S. Gigantea

1 observation ive made with this S. gig compared to the others ive kept..and delt with is..
this is by far the Stickiest S. gigantea ever.. when i feed it, it almost responds like a haddoni, very quick, very sticky..

but i think he is making a great recovery and coming back well

I tried to get different angles, becuase imo the flash at some angles makes it seem like its more bleached then what it really is, but non the less yes it is still bleached but it is improving..

Nice! I was actually thinking about stopping over there this weekend myself! I do the maintenance on my parents' tank, and they were thinking about having me start breeding their Rod Onyx Clowns... Goat585 offered for me to check out his setup since he's right down the road.

as far as i know its only been tried on with Cipro / Levo (similar antibiotics) on S. gig's and Ritteri

I was looking at Minh's post he did on Antibiotic Treatment of H. Mag, and just so happened to be prescribed medicine for an upper respitory infection, i noticed both antibiotics had Flaxocin (ciprofloxacin / Levofloxacin ) i researched both of them and came up with pretty much word for word the same medicine... after talking to minh whose in this field told me Levo is a newer version of Cipro, and more expensive... since i had left overs from my dosage, and still do have left over's (probably enough to treat 4-5 anemones) i decided to try this..

I can clearly see the Zooxanthallae recovering in the last 2 pictures. Great looking anemones.
I am really glad that I posted that thread on antibiotic treatment. Seen these recoverign anemone make me really happy, much more than I ever thought. Especially after spend almost a decade looking for healthy Gigantea.

They are all fine, I sold the blue and sold the green all I have left is the purple which is thriving, green one was sold to ptr13 local reefer to me, and blue to another local reefer so I know they are fine. .. Most my anemone updates are in my anemone collection thread
