any AI Sol failures?

thinking about buying 3, any problems with burnt out LEDs, drivers, fans, controllers?

I have been doing alot of research on the AI's, and I have seen people complain about several different things but have yet to find a post stating that they broke. Which is pretty good because there alot of LED bashers on these forums and you think they would have jumped on any breakages.

Even if you have a problem thier customer service is awesome. I did have a fan go bad they sent me a new fan and a board I guess they changed the fans on them, anyway Justin didnt even ask me when I bought them he just sent me the parts.

Agreed. For as many of these that have been sold, so few problems have ever been reported. It might just be one of the the most reliable products in the hobby.

I have 5 and just ordered 2 more, one of the power supplies just smoked up while sitting on the couch. light works still with another supply ,they are only a week running, It just happened so I cant comment on service yet. Ill let you know

I just talked with justin at aqua illumination , they are shipping one right out.. now that's good service!

I have six units and I did have two go out. I spoke with AI monday morning sent them out that Monday afternoon they got them on Wednesday and I had them back on Friday. Not bad service considering I live In Indiana. IMO: There are many good companies then there are a few that are great AI is one of the great ones.

i've been running ten ai sol on various tanks for a year and a half and have had no problems.
controllers are a bit of another story... never had one fail, but boy can they be a pain to manipulate/navigate..
very touchy..

Almost a year on my Sol White. Controller was back-ordered and it was not functioning properly when it arrived. The control knob had a mind of its own. One email to AI, one replacement encounters the same day, problem resolved. Great company and a rock solid lighting product.

I have just one over my 60g cube -about a year now with no troubles at all. I will be upgrading to a 120 in the spring - will get another then. Great lights, IMHO.

Have had mine on my tank for the last year with no problems. A bit of spot lighting initially but after I moved the lights up a bit higher the problem went away. Over all a very sound and quality built product.
