Any "consignment" stores for equipment?

I'm seriously considering getting out of the hobby, at least for a while, since it's been more of a chore than a pleasure for a while now. And since I'm now traveling a lot, it's very challenging to keep the tanks running and healthy while I'm away so much. I'm just keeping things alive at this point because I'm not sure what to do with everything. Currently running are a 92 gallon corner tank, 46 gallon bowfront, and 32(?) gallon Red Sea Max. But in the shed, in the basement, and in other rooms, I have a 125 gallon and various other dry tanks. And over the years I've accumulated lots of skimmers, lights, filters, pumps, etc., etc. etc. I have so much stuff in so many places I really don't know what I have anymore.

To try and sell this stuff off piece by piece would be very tedious and time-consuming. I know Dave Landino used to hold a tag sale type of thing where everyone brought their unwanted items.... does anyone do that type of thing anymore? Or do you know of any stores that gladly take in / purchase used equipment?

The ideal situation would be to have someone show up with a truck and take i all but I don't know of anyone who wants that much stuff in one shot.... do you?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts and suggestions. I hate to just trash it all.... I don't even want to think about how many thousands I've spent over the years and it would kill me to just dump it all when lots of it is VERY functional.

If don't find anywhere to sell the lot I know a few school programs might like the equipment. The Marine Science Magnet School in Groton and E.O. Smith may be interested. As a little bonus you could at least write of the donation.

Great suggestion, thanks! I've been to E.O. for the Frag Farmer's Markets and will definitely consider seeing what they might need, and I would have never thought of the tax deduction. Thanks.

If you come to Fragtoberfest on 10/14 in East Windsor, The Tank Breakers might be willing to take it all at once.

Last year after the show, they bought a reefer's entire setup.

Thanks.... not sure I will have everything torn down and ready to go by then, still have two tanks up and running, but it's a good thought. And my husband is still trying to talk me out of leaving the hobby. Imagine?????
