Any detecting iron levels using the Tunze Kit

I recently got an iron measuring kit from Tunze and the levels were zero in my reef tank. I have been adding 20 ml of Kent iron solution a day and re-measuring daily and the levels are still zero.

I added a drop of Kent iron solution to th etest vial and it turned dark purple. So the kit is working (I assume).

Anybody has used this kit and was able to detect iron levels in their aquarium?

I use oneon my plant tank and I use FerroVit which is basically a pure Iron EDTA solution. I get readings of .2ppm which is considered ideal and that is what I try to keep it around- such reading require the addition of 60ml every week in a 180gal plant tank.
