Any good choices of anthias for 65g tank?

I'd like to get an anthias for the upper part of my reef. Hopefully that will help my green clown goby from being so timid to come out. Any good choices of anthias I should look at?

IMHO I think you could get away with some dispars if you have a decent amount of flow for them to swim against.

I saw a fathead and some dispars at the lfs today. I liked the fathead but I don't need anymore hidden fish, no fun. I liked the dispars though too, how much flow do you think?

Hey, i was wondering basically the same question about my 55. Would most of these anthias be 'happy' in a 55? I really dont want them to just survive. I have heard that the lyretails would be well suited.

Dispar are always out in the flow! The more you can provide the better. Once acclimated thy are one of the easiest species to keep. Make sure to QT them for a bit to make sure they are eatting everything you normaly feed the main tank.

Parvirostris are beautiful but the females have a very hard time acclimating and can be shy. I'd stay away from them.

My personal favorite is Lori's. Don't even think about attempting these unless you plan to QT.

Oh I qt, wouldn't have a reef if I didn't, although I was only doing it for 2 weeks, but I've decided to do the 4 weeks route to ensure no disease.

Great! If your looking for something more common then go with dispar. If you want more of a challange and something kept succesfully less often go with lori's.

I have two koralia 2's, one in the back right side and one in the front left side, and return water is pointed to the middle and the back left corner. Is that enough flow for dispars? In the mean time, I'm also in the process of aquiring some female P. mccoskeri's to go with the male, do you think adding some dispars later there would be any conflict? Also is that too many fish for my 65g? Right now I have 2 clowns, a clown goby, a mandarin, 1 pink and blue spotted shrimp goby, 8 snails, 2 electric blue hermits, 1 blue legged, 2 red legged, 6 blue eyed hermits, and in a while after quarantine, 4 mccosker's wrasse

here's some pics of the setup, sorry for the glares

I plan on making one sometime this month before I put my wrasse in there. I don't want any jumpers layin on my floor when I come home from work

Just so you know none of these fish will help your green clown goby come out more. That is how they are. If those are korallias IME they don't really provide good flow.

What would be better for water flow then? Even if it doesn't help the goby it'll be nice to have fish out in the opening instead of secluded fish

I don't know that you need to improve flow, you said you were adding a wrasse and why not add a few wrasses. There are many interesting ones. Or what about a dwarf angel. You could do anthias if you like, but IMO they do better in groups, but you could keep them in your 65 as is. There are other fish, and I think you have options.

If you do pick some anthias just go with a smaller one and you'll be fine.
