I haven't seen any posts yet this season about your tropical finds. Show me what you've got! We'd like to make a trip up from Pittsburgh again this year if we can fit it into our schedule. Last year we brought back a massive harvest of Caribbean species and are hoping this is another good year for tropicals!

I went out for the first time this year. saw 5 reef butterfly, many spotfin butterfly, 1 snowy grouper, several doctorfish, 1 filefish, school of goatfish.

Thanks, Tom! Did you dive the bridge? If we come up, I hope we can go diving together again this year! I am armed with a new "toy". A slurp gun! It was just given to me, and I can hardly wait to give it a try!

I went on saterday by oak beach got a few pipefish, needlenose, burfish,a tiny fish which to me looked like a permit,a ton of penut bunker and spearing which was my main reason for going ..

Our trip is set for the first weekend in Oct! I can't wait! Any else been in the water this season? Any great or unusually finds?

And I made my first trip of the year last Sunday with Greg (outeastreef) and his family. 92 (not a misprint!) Butterflyfish, and two Boxfish -- the only tropicals. Plus a lot of the usual local stuff most of which we left there.

We are so excited for our upcoming trip next month! We look forward to visiting with George and Regina, as well as collecting some exciting Caribbean species! Fingers crossed for a blue angel this year!

Keep posting accounts of what you are finding!
