Any help guys?

I'm certainly no expert on polyps...or anything for that matter.. but when you're looking for growth, that, to me, means increasing the # of polyps. I did have a tank in the past that was primarily filled with zoo frags. They became quite elongated as well. I inquired on the zoanthid forum and many confirmed my suspicion. They were starved for light.

I see you have them way up high. What lighting do you have?

In general, I've found polyps to be very fickle. Some blossom, some wither and melt away. Sometimes you never really know what did it.

Not sure if this qualifies as help, or aimless rambling.

link doesn't work for me Todd.

I am using 2 10k and 2 actinic t5 24" lighting( new bulbs). I have had two more standard looking polyps grow since i got the piece.

Maybe a snake polyp? They generally get longer, and I think they're a bit more finicky than regular zoas.

Isaurus tuberculata

wow.

wow.

Very cool.. Gonna have to check them out tonight (nocturnal). 30 total heads/polyps. I guess the price was right. lol

Thank you Gary!

You guys are awesome.. Makes me miss Rochester, good people(for the most part) and good food. I used to live in Chili while I was working for national ambulance co.

I know the place. My Ex brother in-law was just named police chief in Greece. Nice guy, I guess they had some issues to say the least.

I saw him in the news.

He looks REALLY familiar to me- I just can't place where I've seen him.
He's selling his house here in Ogden and moving to Greece.

gotta be.

On the news interview shown on TV here he said they researched him all the way back to the school teachers he had when he was 10 years old.

fwiw a lot of buddies that grew up with me in high school are Greece officers and those guys are legit honest people. All it takes is a couple of bad apples.
