Acropora microclados perhaps?

Yes.

I thought loripes before seeing the colony because of elongated and smooth look of the frag. Seems people mix up nasuta with microclados. Looks to be the same species as the shortcake acro in the colony pic.

Second frag looks to be a pink table like was said already.

The microclados came from a wild colony and was sold as SSC. I however doubt it is one, considering there is NO green in the frag I have. The "hyacinthus" was sold as a red planet, the seller dives and picks his colonies to have shipped back to sell at the LFS, so it'll probably be a red planet look-alike, but knowing the guy, I highly doubt it could be traced back to ora

PS madken is from a local forum, he knew they were sold as such

It just bugs me to see people throw funny names around without any concern of actually getting a proper ID. With chalices and zoas it has run rabid. I hate to see the same happen to SPS, granted it is half way there.

As hobbyist i hope one day we can see the reef hobby as a technique of preservation and not cheap name calling to make a quick buck.

Agreed, the zoas' name industry has become quite ridiculous, but to be fair, I think the sps game is more than halfway there too ;)

Merci Spiny,

I totaly agree Frick and my statement was indeed tongue in cheek :spin3: as we get alot of corals sold up here as the popular "Big Name Corals"

It would be nice if LFS would sell corals via their true Species names but for now most rely on forums such as this one and sites such as
http://sdmas.com/corals/species.php
and
http://www.coralsee.org/
